  Stephen Triffitt
Stephen Triffitt as Frank Sinatra

Stephen has for a number of years been the foremost 'Young Sinatra Tribute' in the United Kingdom, performing well-known Sinatra standards in the way old 'Blue Eyes' did. However, this is just one of Stephen's many talents. As an actor he has played everything from Shakespeare to Farce.

Having been on the stage since he was five years old his acting roles have been wide-ranging and varied, he played an eighty year old at the age of fifteen, and a fifteen year old at the age of thirty!

Stephen applied successfully to Stars in their Eyes. He won his heat, which was televised in May 2000. Immediately offers of work came in and after his performance in the Live final which polled him over 400,000 votes, he was established as a regular on the Cabaret circuit.

The next part of the story is the stuff the dreams are mad of. While working in London at The Riverside Studios providing post show entertainment, Stephen had a picture taken of him with Bob Geldof who was supporting his partner Jeanne Marine who was appearing in the play. The photograph was published in OK! Magazine, and was subsequently brought to the attention of American producer, Jeff Kutash. Jeff had been trying to cast a musical about the life of Frank Sinatra for three years, but had been unable to find the right performer to play the man himself. Jeff contacted Stephen and then flew to London to meet him. Less than a month later Stephen received the contract to play Sinatra in The Main Event, in Atlantic City. The show ran as a showcase for seven weeks from March 2001 and brought much critical acclaim. Since then he has appeared on many TV shows both in the UK and the US.

On his return to the UK Stephen once again established himself on the Cabaret and Corporate circuits and acted as MC for many events. Stephen has recorded for numerous TV commercials and his voice is heard all over the world. With his own stage production he performed to sell out houses, and performed at the London Palladium for the City of New York's Fire-fighters charity after September 11th, finishing the evening with a heartfelt rendition of New York, New York.

He returned from the States in June 2002 after once again starring in The Main Event, this time for a three month run, headlining at The Venetian on the Strip in Las Vegas, which was built on the site of the infamous Sands Hotel. At this time Stephen embarked on the national tour of Frank, Sammy & Dean. The Rat Pack Live From Las Vegas, playing Sinatra to massive critical acclaim. This culminated in a West End run at The Theatre Royal Haymarket, which then transferred for a limited run to The Strand Theatre, where the show was nominated for an Olivier Award, then to it’s permanent home at the Savoy Theatre.
